For visiting Oregon, how could you miss the Multnomah Fall and the Bonnville Dam.  So, we went those places on Sunday.  I haven't been to those two places for couple years.  Luckly, it was a sunny day on Sunday.  We saw lots of salmon fishes and the water fall.

 

When we left Portland, it was pretty cloudy.  However, it turned out by really sunny at the Dam

 After visiting the Bonnville Dam and the fish hatchery, we went to the Multnomah Fall.

 

   

 

We walked for almost an hour to get to the top of the fall.  You could see the picture for the top of the fall and the parking lot on the ground.

 

After the Oregon Zoo visit on Friday, we also went to the Dahlias Festival on Saturday.  It was surprise to me that the swan island dahlias farm is only about 7 miles from Oregon City downtown.  The Dahlias Festival is for the last weekend Aug. 28th and the coming weekend until Sept. 7th.

Since my parents are here, I went for sight seeing with them for the last couple days.

 

My aunt suggested to go to the zoo.  To be honest, for all these years I was in Oregon, this was the first time I check out the zoo.

For the real bear, I would rather to keep in distance....

 

I was surprise that for the eagle display deck, there is nothing between the viewer and the eagles.  My aunt even kept telling my cousin to close the door in case the eagles fly away.......

 

Too bad, it had a little bit rain.  A lot animals are hidding.

 

 

It is super hot today as high as 106F in the afternoon.  I was thinking I may not be able to sleep tonight..... and then miracle happened...... there is airconditioning at my place..... just install today.....

 

I could stay cool now...... :)

Last weekend, I went for a camping trip in Jessie Honeyman State Park.  It is close to the Oregon Coast.  So, I also went to the beach and lake for some sight seeing.......

 

It was super hot in Portland that day (96F), however, it dropped down to 70's at the coast.  We endup making a camp fire to keep us warm....

Renee brought with her dogs to the camping trip as well.  So, we have 6 people and 3 dogs on the site....... the doggies are pretty excited.

We also went to the beach and the lake...... the weather was pretty good.... we even played Mahjong at the camp site.......

The trip was organized by the Hong Kong Club in Portland.  They even brough gas stove with propane.  A different kind of camping........

Before we left Florence, we also had lunch at Mo's and walked around for the old town area.
